Just wanted to share my good news. One of my female shinglebacks gave birth 2 days ago to a beautiful baby (I think it's a girl).:)

It's a big bub. First reptile I have bred - very proud of Big Mama Shingleback. Will post photos in due course.

After loosing a shingleback a few weeks ago to an infection that the vet just couldn't shake, it illustrates the circle of life...

I'm so sorry about your other shingle :(

Congrats on the baby!!!! :D
What, No pics???? We damand to see the cute baby shingle!!!!!!! :D

Thanks all - will post pics soon I promise!

Still waiting on the kids to come up with a good name:)

I have talked to a couple of people who have bred shinglebacks and have had feedback that shingleback newborns can have quite high mortality rates - ~ 50%!!

Could anyone with experience advise if this is the case, and if so, any ways to mitigate against loss?? I'm a bit nervous now!!

lovely cant wait to see some piccies :)
