My Nanna found this guy, dead in her kitchen the other day. Just wondering what it was.

She said there is a few more ranging from 10cm-20cm.

I don't know much about gecko's so not sure if it is an Asian House Gecko or not... I have read that some people kill them because they are a 'pest' and not native... which leads me to ask... why are they considered a pest? What threat do they pose on our environment which leads them to be culled? ( I'm not defending them, just genuinely curious and would like to be educated on their status in our native environment)

Looks like Oedura lesuerii, they rarely exceed 12cm so your Nanna may be a bit off in her estimates lol
AHG's eat small geckos, compete for food, space etc and when fornicating tend to fall on peoples faces while asleep!!! They are a menace!!!!
