Found this little guy on the weekend. Looks like a bird had a go at him (his left eye was severly damaged and he didnt live long after this pic was taken)

anyway, curious what species he might be?

hehe, i guessed Gehyra Variegata after thumbing through Wilson and Swan. looks like I was a little off :)
 
You may be right, just check the underside of it's feet and follow the guide, Christinus and Gehyras have different lamellae. Don't trust my dodgy colour blind eyes
 
Thanks for your answers guys. I've looked up images of both species on the net to try and see what differences there are and it is amazing how similar they are!

hm. they both look like robust geckos? though im not sure wat robust gecko scientific name is. very cute
where'd u find him?
