G'day

I know plenty of people use aviaries as snake enclosures. I'm looking to do the same for my Port Mac and probably Coastal as well (both are around 6 feet long).

Ive seen some good pics on here; 2 questions though:
Can anyone recommend a good brand (have you had experience with it)?
What can I attach the base of the aviary to (I would like it to be moveable so don't want to fix it to concrete outside)

Any advice welcome!!

Regards

Get it built professionally, then you can ask for everything you need thats different for a reptile rather a bird.

IE. Solid metal around bottom quarter rather than mesh, prevents scale damage from rubbing. Shelves big enough for hides and basking. One third of roof mesh to allow for more basking time.

I'm currently building my own for a Lace Monitor, it's really not difficult. I found the options unsuitable for what I wanted, it might be different for snakes.

The fowl houses from bunnings have iron around the bottoms and aren't too bad.

ive got a 1m by 1 m aviary here that I mounted onto a plastic shipping pallet

I was looking at a few of them yesterday, for what they are their cheap as chips. So even if you modified you could still be ahead I think.
