I have got a pair of occies, I was planning on breeding them this coming season. They have done the do, already.
I now have a very fat lumpy female. I don't have a incubator, I was planning on getting one closer to breeding season. They are set up in a tank with sand, I haven't turned down the heat to cool them, so the temps are still around 32 up one end & around 20-25 at cool end.
The sand is around 3inches deep & I have put a container with moist sand around 5inches deep.
My questions are:
Is it necessary to use a incubator?
Is it better to purchase a incubator tomorrow & set that up? They normally say run them for 2 weeks prior to use, to stabilize temps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers, James.
