Hi there,

I'm just researching buying my first python. I've had a bit of contact with friend's snakes and am thinking along the lines of a smallish python, easy to handle and not too bitey.

I've been given a large octagonal tank which I'm hoping to use as a home but not too sure after looking into the housing needs of my preferred breeds.

Probably three months or so off from the actual purchase but it's good to be here anyway.

If you want a nice placid breed have a look at proserpine carpet pythons they are great!
