ahhhh, glad i continued to read before clicking the link,....!! :p

Changing my password solved the problem, so no more slightly irritated friends wondering what my obsession with viagra is all about! :p

It doesn't have to be a key logger or a hacked account - as you don't have any email in your sent items, your email account was most likely just spoofed. In layman's terms:
Someone sent an email pretending to be you/your email address. Whatever bounces, comes to you.

The person got most likely never hold of your password - maybe just your email addy. Spoofing an email isn't that hard but the result for the spoofed one can be quite shocking.
How to prevent spoofing: You can't!
It's like saying: how can I stop a guy in russia or somewhere in the world from pretending to be Tikanderoga - you can't. All you can do is clean up the mess and move on.

Apologies to this person if you are legit, but beware of clicking on this link....
The wording just looks dodgy to me ;)
Plus, this is their first post.
Maybe I am paranoid...

The website looks legit to me. Anti-keylogger for Mac.

It is allways the free email services that get hacked, especially Hotmail, there is allways so much crap being moved around through cyberspace.

What I do for these kinds of links is hover over the button and in the bottom left of the window (Internet Explorer atleast) shows the link (only if the link is a word and not the link itself). Then I search on google the keywords of the link. If it is dodgy you usually get someone who has clicked it then posted on a forum that it is a scam or virus related :)

In this case as notechistiger said, it is legit.

It's just an msn spreader, just change your password to that email and it should stp[
