If it is a female and never has been with a male before they are probably infertile eggs. but it is best to check and make sure its a female or/and hasnt been with a male
 
Being a yearling it's unlikely to be gravid. I've seen all mine in this position regularly, if you watch them long enough when they're cruising and they wind up in a corner and forget which way theyre going and backtrack, they inevitably get themselves into a position where part of their body gets upside down, just part and parcel of being one long piece of muscle without joints :)
I've had juveniles fall asleep like this - I wouldn't panic unless its doing it 3-4 times a day,:)
 
Ive Only ever seen Gravid females bask like that, you may have a female there and I'm of the belief that a female can retain sperm for a number of seasons,

I could go with pathogenicis rather than sperm retention.
