Having problem cleaning the rat tubs

I having a minor problem cleaning some of the rat tubs out!

OH - and the photos were taken on 08/07/2012 - mid winter!

I think we are down a ringtail. No great loss but we have a brushy who is a real pest. We also have another guy who really wants a feed. He seems to spend most of the day looking into one particular tub. There is also a smaller one who occasionally sits on the smaller tubs. Pic #3 shows how much it worries the rats
