Heat gradients

Good afternoon all. Question relating to heat gradients and ambient temperature.

Would be very interested to know, especially from experienced keepers, how they go about providing cool spots etc for the reptiles when the ambient temperature is higher than the enclosures basking spot, say around 35 ambient (reptiles kept in garage)

Sorry, should have written that this is what I normally do. Was in a rush lol. I also have tried frozen bottles to try and get the cooler side happening. Was interested in what others do as well
