i recently got a bit of wood from a pet store i asked if it was bug free but now i've got ants comeing out of the branch :x i took it back but he told me it wasn't his problem :x is there any way i can get rid of them with out hurting my snake?

Soak it in water so they drown....And then put it in the overn on about 60 degrees celcius or so to kill anything else thats in there. It's like if you get a branch from outside, you bake it to get rid of mites and stuff...i dont know if 60 it too hot, just make sure it doesnt catch onfire...

You could soak the branch in bleach solution, give it a good rinse, and then dry it off in the sun.
The enclosure, I'd remove the snake, do a good clean out, and then try hitting it with Top Of Descent. I havent had an ant problem so I can't say I'm speaking from experience, but it seams like a reasonable course of action to me. I have the TOD on hand in case I ever need it.

i cant speak from experience from ants but this is what i do with new branches i full my bath tube with warm water and add some orange medic about a quarter of the bottle and submerge the branches ect so they are covered, leave them there for about 3 hours or more if you can this will kill mites, bugs ,ants ect in the branches
