It's hard to sex them visually, even harder when they're not next a definite male/female. I wouldn't prob the animal without professional help or if you're very experienced with it.
But for what it's worth your Cunningham has a similiar look to my female

It's very calm. Runs when you try pick it up though. The store had another one in the same cage with other blueys. It was smaller and tried to bite the shop assistant. Should have bought both but did not want to end up with 2 females etc

Egernia cunninghami is not an easily sexed species.
Probing is not recommended and has been found to be inconclusive anyway.
Can you elaborate on the neck length difference that you've heard of?

You're always better off buying pairs or more of cunninghams, as they're social animals, but if you try to introduce others to them at an adult age they will usual fight and it can end in death. its better to end up with two females then have one and get another later, and have them fighting to near death.
