Hi all

Just wanting to get some thoughts and opinions on the most appropriate place to place a hide?

I have read the best place is under the heat source so they get the warmth and still feel secure; I have also read it is better to place it away from the heat source, that way they can move to and fro when they want to.

I am just concerned that being a juvenile (I have had her for 4 weeks) that she wants to feel secure in her new enclosure, and no matter where I place the hide, thats where she goes.

One reptile shop recommended away from the heat source, another recommended underneath...so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Morris

All of my reptiles have numerous hides throughout the entire enclosure, so they can almost go from warm end to cool end without having to pop up and say hi... I've found that by having heaps of hides, they feel secure and are happy to spend plenty of time out and about as they don't have to travel very far to get to safety....
