How do i get my Jungle onto rats?

Any ideas how and when i should try to get my jungle onto rats?
He has a full mouse every week and is almost a metre.
Is it true it is better to get them onto rats early?

yeah, most people get them onto pinkie rats as soon as the snake is big enough to eat them....however saying this i didnt swap my coastals over to rats until the snake was eating full grown mice, i didnt have any problems the snake just decided to eat rats for me (gotta love coastals)

Just keep offering them he'll start taken them.

I found it helped to rub the rat's head with a mouse. Patience is the key if he decides to be fussy. Just offer, and if he doesn't take it, wait 'till next week. Same as for kids and brocoli. :wink:

I found Almaron's trick worked for me too. I had trouble getting my diamond onto rat pups until I rubbed the rat pup all over with a mouse. I repeated this several times, using les and less "mouse scent" each feed until she started taking rat pups without scenting.
