hi i heard that apparently in canberra you dont need a reptile licence to keep a bearded dragon so just wondering what information anyone else would have on this subject

It is true for an Eastern Bearded Dragon, but will need to obtain it from a legal source. In regard to Central Bearded Dragons, I'm not 100% but I'm sure you will need a licence for them.

Yes, that is correct. In Canberra you can keep Eastern Bearded Dragons as well as Common long-necked Turtle, Eastern & Blotched Blue-tongued Lizards and Shinglebacks without a licence.

These species are considered by licencing as relatively easy to maintain and suited to the Canberra climate.
