This picture was taken by a friend in the kimberleys today, I'm moving there in 3 weeks.

I know it's not a great picuture for ID but maybe someone can i.d..

Well for starters its not a monitor, its a Dragon.

Its a Diporiphora but not sure on which one.. Ask Eipper!

I think its Ctenophorus caudicinctus by the shape of the head.

Ctenophorus caudicinctus macropus.
Is probably the most common up that way.

Yep thats the one, way off as usual lol.

Are you sure? Even for a female there isn't much patterning. But I don't know what else it could be. Maybe a patternless ring tailed huh?

Its one of the Ctenophorus caudicinctus subspecies
