i was moving some old bricks today and came upon some garden skink eggs as soon as we disturbed them the mother ran away, but the bricks still had to be moved i was thinking of trying to get the eggs to hatch myself (if nothing else it would be a great little project for the kids) i am not sure what temp to keep them at so any help would be great

I don't think many people will have experience in incubation Garden Skink eggs. :) I'd guess that 28-29 degrees would be a safe temp?

it would be a good idea to check out the legality of incubating "wild" eggs too

And I think you're suppoused to keep the eggs very level.

Whats wrong with incubating eggs in the off chance that they might chance to then release the young back into the wild as soon as they are hatched?

well it was either try or leave them in the middle of the yard !!!!!! they probably have a better chance with me

I reckon they'd hatch in a bit of soil in an ice cream container on the kitchen bench. either way, Sdaji keeps them.
