Females end up abit darker and blander in colour when adults compared to males, I am definitely not an expert, but that looks sorta like a female...

How old? I'll lean toward female, more likely if it's got some age on it...

I've heard that males have slightly longer tales...(rhymes)

that would be absolutly massive if it was SVL that was a bit of a given and didnt need explaining imo. It does look female and you will def be able to tell in a year or so. looks healthy. great dragon.

It is very easy to work out the sex of a water dragon. As FAY said, males get a red belly, females don't.

But- it may be a late developer, only being 8 months old, or may be dulled down due to stress. EWD can get up to a metre in length matt, so 30 cm SVL would be about average.

IMO.
