Hi, I just had a new enclosure built from ply, its 4x4x2 with a vertical divider with a light fitting in each, now im trying to work out what heating to use, both lights are wired to one socket so i will be using one dimming thermostat for both lights, im wanting to use ceremic heat emitters just unsure on wattage, Also with it being a tall enclosure and one heat light up top will i need some floor heating or just a basking shelf near the globe.

Will post pics of enclosure and the start of my rock build this weekend.

Thanks.

The wattage is going to depend on where the basking shelves/perches are, and what is going to be kept in the enclosure. I wouldn't worry about any floor heating, as the height of the enclosure is going to provide the animal with a very large thermal gradient.

Ok so im setting up this enclosure on the weekend. what wattage ceramic heat emitter do you reckon, 100w or 150w. Will most probaly use and on/off thermo.
THanks.

150w ceramic period. and use a thermostat like a pro 2 (by lucky reptile)

Use a dimming thermostat bulbs will last alot longer lol
