Just arrived today, 4xAustralobuthus xerolimniorum and 5x lychas buchari. Awsome looking scorps and cannot wait to get them setup and get some pics, will get some up when i do take them.

The AX are a beautiful scorpion i have a good collection myself ,you will find they are communal as well ,my ones quiet often cuddle up to each other and i have never lost one due to cannibalism which is good for a scorpion

got pics of the setup? i dont think mark posted any pics of his.

Here is a pick of one of my AX set ups

the end with the holes is the dry end and the other end is the moist end.

they are one of the nicest scorpions in my collection

they are not actually communal in the sense of the word but like alot of native buthids, tolerate the company of others, main rason for that would be the fact in the wild there is no real competition for hiding spaces so no reason to be very territorial.

have you ever been stung by one, does it hurt?

Yes it hurts..first hand experience (no pun intended). The pain is not at the agony level, but it lets you know its there with continual throbbing. The pain lasted about 4-5 hours with the tingling sensation common with scorpion stings lasting about 12 hours.
