Hi everyone
I went to the reptile expo in Melbourne, it was great

It was a bit crowded but apart from that it was a good day out, lots of snake, lizards and some turtles. Did anyone else get anything? If you did please post pics

I got a pair of central netted dragons

and a new tank for them

And can someone tell me if Ive got the set up wrong or something?

a few tips insect boy

make sure the branches and things will not fall over
get a thicker branch for the basking spot one, then they will be able to turn around easier to go back down and not fall - it was not my tank i was using on the day, so not my usual setup
what uv are you using
ensure the water is not too deep and he can get out
get the basking spot branch a little higher for him so the uv is more effective, say 150mm from it
the temps at the basking spot to be about 40 degrees in that tank with the cool end (the bottom of enclosure) 25 degrees
anything else just ask

email sent vadercat, no problems i have some central netteds still for sale

Ive just moved the heat lamp closer inside the tank so the temp is around 40 degrees, ive adding some more branches today
The water bowel is is not deep at all and they can get out easily.

They very active and fun to watch, it was cool watching them chase crickets

Very nice mate, their lively little buggers... I started off with netteds in the hobby over a decade ago now lol.

Tip for you mate to make them happier:

Get half cut PVC pipe and bury them in the substrate they'll use them as hides as they really like to burrow. It'll be nice and secure as it wont fall in on them. You can bury them on an incline so the top lip is above the substrate and that'll be then the entrance hole.

Good luck with them mate.
