Just finished, and awaiting fit-out.

This will house my adult diamond when complete with creature comforts. I have purchased a solar powered pond pump and will be setting up a small waterfall feature inside it.

I plan to have a small cave behind the waterfall as a cooling spot, underneath the top pond which will flow into a larger main pond.

It's construction is radiata pine, water sealed and painted, enclosed with 6mm snake mesh and finished with shade cloth.

Just need to learn how to make fake rocks and rock walls to fit out the pond arrangement.

Second pic shows quality control inspected by head of security.

Looks great!

What type of base/substrate will you use?

I don't normally use substrate with outdoor enclosures, specially on a timber deck where moisture might build up and cause rot. I just leave the bottom bare and hose out any mess now and then.
