Hi, I am getting my first reptiles this Thursday, a pair of smooth knob-tail geckos. I want to have as much information as I can before keeping and eventually breeding these geckos. So far I know the basics;
- They need a heat gradient (i have a relatively reliable heat mat with thermostat)
- 29-32 degrees Celsius ??
- Sand substrate (mine have red desert sand from 1cm warm side to 4cm cool side)
- Food (already have several crickets and heaps of mealworms, however, I know they aren't that nutritious so will feed most of them to our chickens)
- insect booster?
- Some hides ***ill attach a photo of the enclosure*
- no light (causes stress)
- kept moist (I'm not actually sure how moist, they have small water bushes
WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS IF I HAVE MISSED ANYTHING?
**Note they are first and foremost companions breeding is a happy coincidence
