Some of you have applied to join our community, but have been rejected.

This is usually because you have not filled in the requested details correctly.

Most importantly, we require a home phone number not a mobile number, and your suburb and state are required, so we can reconcile the phone number against the suburb to validate your location. If, for some reason, you can't give us a home number, then use the Contact Us link (at left) to write to us with an explanation as to why not; be sure to quote your requested username in the email, so we know who you are! We will then consider your request.

When we ask for a contact time, give us a time period, rather than an exact time, as we may not be able to call you at exactly that time. After hours is preferred, as we are all volunteers and have day jobs, so calling during the day can be difficult.

It's also a good idea to NOT be connected to the Internet during that time! :) Makes it a bit hard for us to call you when your phone is engaged! :) We will usually try two or three times before giving up and rejecting the application. If this happens, try again, and be sure the phone is free during the contact time specified.

If you are a Messenger user, it's a good idea to fill your details, as we can contact you and let you know we are trying to call you, if you are using the Internet. You can always remove it from your profile after we have approved your application, if you want to keep that information private.

It's not a good idea to use a fake email! It just won't work, as your password is sent to you by email. We no longer accept web-based email addresses as we have had too many troublemakers using them. It's worth noting that your IP address is automatically captured when you apply, so setting up additional usernames on your ISP account will be noticed too! :)

We would really love to have you join our community, but due to problems caused in the past by some trouble-makers, we have to have pretty tight security measures to ensure that our members enjoy the site, without trouble-makers connecting with fake ID's, etc.

Thank you for your co-operation.
