Moosey, that copperhead was a stunner but you managed to capture it beautifully with your camera.
Here is some pics of a notechis ater niger (sorry its shedding) that i aquired last xmas and a little whitelip,d.coronoides that was in a swimming pool and was very relieved to be rescued.

Oh nice White Lipped sssssnakeman, i love them, went on a 3 hour walk today to try and see 1, nothing grrrrrrrr

Looks similar the the 3 'brown snakes' i go called out for the other week...NPWS called me to say someone had dropped in 3 young browns and needed someone to relocate them...the receptionist wasn't game to look so I guess they can be forgiven for the identification mishap lol, cute little buggers get quite a few marsh snakes around here...
I haven't had a call out for a whip snake as yet...picked up a small RBB this afternoon, which is suprising considering it got to -1 last night:?, no pics sorry the phone ones didn't turn out

Love the Marsh Snake Tann-Mann. Id love to see 1 of them.
 
marsh snakes also have pretty faces, nice photos tann mann, i caught one at dorrigo the week before last that was quite similar to the colours of those...

Definately not. I wouldn't risk free-handling an elapid ever.
