Hi,

I have an unusually coloured pink tongue that is a lot lighter than both of its parents. Would anyone know the genetics behind this and if so how offspring would turn out with a normal coloured pink tongue. This is the only one I've ever held back so I cant say for certain how others have turned out in the same clutch, although I do believe this is the lightest.

I have no idea but if you feel like selling him to me, I wouldn't complain. He's gorgeous.

There's a guy from the states who has a breeding pair of PTS's and at 3 years old they both changed to a grey colour after being the standard cream and dark brown.

This one is just over 2 years old at the moment and has pretty much had the same colouring since a couple sheds after birth, so hopefully he doesn't change anymore.
