Saw this snake when out on our sunset walk this evening...it was quite small, about 35cms or so at a guess. Location - walking track alongside the beach in Gnarabup, near Margaret River, WA. Sorry, was only able to get this quick pict as he was moving fast for cover! Would love to know what it is! Thanks!

Agreed. The dark head patch underscored by a black stripe, edged below in white, along the side of the head are are characteristic. The black stripe often forms a band across the nape and they have large sized eyes. They are day active and tend to occur near the coast.
