pvc vs acrylic?

im thinking of making a enclosure, and as the title speaks for it self, either from pvc or acrylic perspex. i was just wondering which will be better?
and if people have built enclosures using acrylic Perspex, i would love to see them.
and also is the pvc used foamed pvc sheets or just pvc sheets?

hdpe (high density polyethylene) would be a better choice.

Also look into heating... not sure how that would go well with heatmats or cord etc.

I have read that hpde, can let a smell off when under heat. But I might be wrong.

also it it grows with temps above 20. And warps it. So I wouldn't want that happening.
