Pygmy beardie not eating!!

I have two Pygmy bearded dragons both the same age but there is a major size difference between them. The smaller one (male) hasn't been eating much lately and is showing less and less interest in the crickets and vege. I feed them separately (the larger one is on medium crickets and the smaller one is on small) And they get alone fine with no fighting as they have been housed together since they were hatchlings. I have tried hand feeding the smaller one bathing him and I have raised the basking temp to 40. But nothing seems to be working and I am getting worried because he is eating less and less btw he still basks but when he goes to sleep him nearly submerges himself in the sand in the corner of the tank. Plz help!!
