Rat sizes??

Hi,

I am breeding rats (waiting....) and have a few buyers already for the babies... does anyone know have a rough idea of the age of fuzzies, hoppers etc?? either age or size or something?? so i can freeze them at the right time?

Pinkies - first week

Fuzzies - 2 weeks prob just depends, you will know when you see them start to get a little coat of hair, hoppers 4 weeks I reckon, once again you will know when ya see them.

It doesnt really matter when ya freeze them. I freeze 1/4 after a week, another quarter after 2, and so on so i have all different sizes. And I usually let a couple of females grow to adults

Pinky = 1-3 days old
Fuzzy 1-2 weeks old
Hopper (if you do this size) 2-3 weeks old
Weaner 3-4 weeks old, should be around 50g
Then sell them based on weights.
