During my cleanup (moving stuff around for the painters) I came across the last issue of the Traffic Bulletin, February this year. I was gonna post these changes back then but misplaced the magazine.

This is for those of you who are interested in endangered species. I'm only listing the proposals relating to reptiles that were accepted at the last meeting of CITES in Bangkok last October. Decisions entered into force in January this year.

Spider Tortoise (Pyxis arachnoides): transferred from Appendix II to Appendix I

Malayan Snail-Eating Turtle (Malayemys subtrijuga): included in Appendix II

Malayan Flat-shelled Turtle (Notochelys platynota): included in Appendix II

Soft-shell Turtles (Amyda spp.): included in Appendix II, amended to include Amyda cartilaginea only.

Fly River Turtle (Carettochelys insculpta): included in Appendix II

Roti Snake-neck Turtle (Chelodina mccordi): included in Appendix II

American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus): transfer of the Cuban population from Appendix I to Appendix II

Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus): transfer of the Namibian population from Appendix I to Appendix II

Leaf-tailed Geckos (Uroplatus spp.): included in Appendix II

And although it's not a reptile I know one person will be interested in this -
Humphead Wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus): included in Appendix II

:p
