she will bite sometimes if shes not ready, also males will play bite neck feet tail etc too. funky behaviour can sometimes be displayed well before maturation. emyduras are notoriously spunky and jnrs often display all the funky stuff like head bobbing. Jimmy, gays in the animal world do occure but rarely, mostly its a case of jnr behaviour or mistaken id. lol
 
lol the plastron method [concave in males to assist mounting] is not always accurate
Yeah, I should have mention that I don't breed long necks so my method is not scientific. All the turts I come across are wild and usually injured, hence the reason of not wanting to muck with the back end.
Just need a guesstimate for the paperwork.

both males. Pale plastron has a few dings that look like they need attention.

top ones cloaca looks pretty close to the tail tip aswell, i reckon rescues right, bad luck scott mate.
 
do look like small pits in the darker ones plastron, pale one has an area on the right that looks a worry too.
