Ignoring it is certainly the most satisfying way...it might be harder since they live so far away, but usually you can see them just itching hoping you'll say something...

One of my best friends (bless the poor boy) tries to work me up by saying things like that too, because he's never seen me angry in the 5 years we've been close, and I just ignore it, or say what basically amounts too "oh that's cool! tell me more!"

so ignoring them and making them squirm, will be the best revenge by far ;)
Chances are he made it up too,
but on the brightside (kind of) one day he won't be so lucky, and it'll get him before he gets it, and he'll learn a lesson to respect them

have not said anything yet, cant block him either cause they tell my mum everything and always look on my facebook to see if they can comment their 'opinion' on it (not being sterotypical but typical american who forces their abnoxious comments on others). and they will just call my mum and tell her i've deleted them and she'll have a head fit at me, she jumps to conclusions with facebook, she thinks its just creates problems (in which it does, with the wrong people) so im stuck.

Does it matter if your parents know you block and delete him? just say his a twit lol. Ive got 1 of my cousins blocked and deleted on facebook although im in that 0.001% of people that dont use it/barely use it.

Over here in America, there is nothing someone can do if they kill snakes. No one gets in trouble for it. Every year in certain states such as Texas and other southern states, they have what is called "Rattlesnake Roundups". It is basically where a bunch of ignorant white trash rednecks go around and catch as many Rattlesnakes as they can and then they take them back to somewhere and kill hundreds upon hundreds of rattlesnakes. They use them for boots, trophies, food, belts or whatever else they can think of. It is very disgusting. Most of the time, no one cares when snakes die. People make videos of it all the time and put it on Youtube and other people think it is funny. We are trying to stop the rattlesnake rodeos but it is pretty difficult.

Morelia, I thought that rubbish had stopped...seems not.
I saw it on a Pay TV channel here a few years ago and I was utterly sickened.

just say kool, did it bleed much? just dont let on that its upsetting to you as this is what they wanted to do to you

If it is your fb page just hide thier posts so you cannot see them and this way you aren't really blocking them, and ignore the last comment that was posted.

As awful as it is, isn't legal to kill rattlers over there in most states anyway?

I know alot of people who do it for their skins.

Yes. I believe it is legal to kill rattlesnakes in most states. I know there are some species like the Indigo snake that is protected but I can't think of any more at this time.

Firstly let me say that family and facebook don't mix.what you couldn't say to the persons face you can go home now and flame someone like a complete coward on line.Yes i have a fb page, it's in my dogs name so only my true family can connect with me there.it's not an open thing.and who says this clown really did anything at all.io could tell you all im a supermodel from russia who is married secretly to george clooney.and to wind up a person what better way to tell them you did something when you didn't?

I have to say FaceBook would have to be the WORST medium for 'communication' known to man...

Sookie's quite right - and to add to that, it's a similar thing here - when faceless people hiding behind usernames feel so strong as to intimidate, flame, bully someone on the other side of the screen they've never met, THEY become the coward. If you're not prepared to say what you have to say to the person's face, DON'T SAY IT.

FaceBook has been, and will continue to be, the most widely used "tool" to break up marriages, relationships, push people into depression and anxiety, drive people to suicide... the list goes on. I was on F/B many years ago, until I was "stalked" by a "family member"... Now, I just listen to all the stories people tell me about the back-stabbing, untruths, stirring rubbish of detriment still going on today. It won't get better, if anything it will get worse. My advice: get off FaceBook, you don't need it. Pick up the phone.

Stepping off my soap-box now!

This is true, but being someone who moved around a bit I lost contact with many people I knew and loved, and if it weren't for my facebook account I'd never have spoken to them again. Yes, people are stupid on it, but in my experience it's simply because they don't think before they post. Hell, if it wasn't for people like that my husband would never have gotten the offer for full-time work; it was only because the previous guy (and I call him 'facebook' because I can't remember his name), rattled on about how crap his job was after he'd added workmates and his boss. Idiot.
It's good if you use it right and don't replace it for actual socialising; I only really use it for staying in contact with friends and family overseas. Friends here I do pick up the phone, or go over for a visit, or vice versa. Not to mention a 'zero crap' policy on your own account works wonders; I've had a few friends go nutty before, they get one chance, then delete. It's like everything in life; find the medium road and it works.
