Just had a look for any info. about worming snakes in the forums and could not find any. Thought I would post a bit of information that I have picked up in the last day.
It was suggested to me that the reason why my snake was not growing very much is that he may have worms, and that I should take him to the vet to get checked out.(thanks Bangles).
I took him there yesterday and they did a feacal floatation. They found what they though was worm lavae   . The treatment that they suggest I give snakey was:
A product called Panacur(apparently it is sheep drench). Inject this into his food and follow up with the same dose 2 weeks later. The formula for the dosage to administer is (100 x body weight(kg)) divided by 25. This gives you the dose in ml.(my eg. 40gm snake = .16ml).
What I am hoping for here is that the more experienced snake people can elaborate on this subject(eg. diff. types of worms, products, frequency of worming, dosages, experiences) so newies like myself can learn more about problems associated with worms.
