Missus and I saw one the other day near Plenty River, Greensborough just as we were taking the dogs for a walk. This one was quite long......metre to a metre and a half. Was crossing the road as we drove up into the park. By the time she had stopped the car and I ran over to have a look it had slithered off into the bushes.

Neither of us had our phones either.....grrrrrrrrr.

This poor copperhead was hit by a car in Redhill, witnesses said the car swerved onto the other side of the road to him.

Is it just me or do a lot of elapids seem to have an angry look on their faces? They are really nice looking snakes though.
