I lost my wallet not long ago, had about 90$ in it and it was returned with all the money in it. I offered the lady some, but she refused. I was so happy to have it back

We found a wallet at Jupiters casino one night, with 130$ ish, we handed it into staff and the owner came back for it an hour later... i just think, if I lost my wallet..id want someone to be honest and give it back..soo i will always do the same.

Sucks about your money..cant do much about it :(

That's why I always have minimal cash in my wallet. It doesn't take long to take money out of the ATMs. I chased down a guy once coz money fell out of his pocket, by the time I got to him, he didn't even say thanks and just looked at me in disgust. Some people huh? ;)

Sorry to hear.

Charma is a wonderful thing, they will eventually get whats coming.

reminds me of that old joke (i think it was in spiderman 2) people open when giving speeches "did anyone drop a large roll of $50 notes wrapped in an elastic band? because we found your rubber band" there are a lot of different versions but it all points to one thing. it is generally a surprise to get any cash back once you let it out of your sight.

I woke up this morning to find my partner's car had been broken into...... AGAIN!

That is twice in the last 8 months! Last time they stole the spare tyre. This time they left my 2 pair of expensive sunnies but took the loose change that was in a (concealed) dash compartment.

We live in a very nice quiet area, full of either old italians who have lived int heir houses since the 50's and 60's, or young yuppies who are loaded.

NOT a good start to the day :(

Maybe time for a car alarm, atleast something.

I know. Luckily it is a company car, but now he is without a car for a week while it is sorted and repaired. So frustrating. Only good thing is we don't have to pay for it.

I just don't understand their logic. Leaving everything of value in the car but taking $5 in coins?

dont know what would be worse trying to chase up the licenses, atm cards etc or losing 100 or so dollars, sux theres so many selffish people out there

id rather see someones face when you return a cashed up wallet, that would be priceless!!

That really sucks! Something similar happened to my mother 12 years ago, she had her wallet stolen at the supermarket, there was $400 she was going to spend on groceries, and to make it worse my grandmother had died only a couple of weeks earlier. Some people are so selfish!

My guess is, money is harder to prove stolen than sunnies.

Maybe you have ugly sunnies? kidding.
Didn't realise schools gave out company cars, score much?

I've only ever lost my wallet once and it didnt get returned :( only had about $80 in it and the wallet was worth about $60 luckily i was only 16 so i didn't have many cards in it, would hate to lose my wallet now more for the cards than the money, I never carry more than $150 on me unless im buying something and paying cash in which im super carefull. An old lady dropped her purse when i was in my final year of school when i was walking down the main road, had to run to catch up to her no idea how much was in it wouldn't imagine it would of been much though although her reaction seemed that it had her life savings in there lol.

.

hahahaha....... no, they're hot sunnies!

Dan doesn't work for a school anymore. He is still in education but now works at the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), but is employed by an Italian company who runs education programs for Italians. So he does all the Italian education programs and tours etc, as well as the english speaking classes too. He left Parade over a year ago.

It doesn't matter how good an area you are in, thefts can happen anywhere anytime. It sucks but it is a part of life. I do believe that the dishonest people are a minority.
Criminals aren't the most considerate lot are they?

1. Getting your wallet back so you dont need to replace credit cards, identification etc is a REAL BONUS.
2. Getting wallet back with no money, hopefully the lesson learned is NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
