Hi, just wondering at what age these guys can have eggs becuase mine is only like 4-5months and around 17cm and is looking really plump even though she has refused to eat in like 12 days...

good question I havent had anything lay til about 18months old...what is the size of the animals?

17cm TL or SVL?
My girl layed eggs at 12months, was gravid at about 9-10 months.

well you could be in for some eggs...maybe...you guys must feed more than I.

nar then again I have about 40 at the moment...and mine are 12cm in 4-5month...they get 3 feeds a week, none through winter...oh I should say keep all my animals outside aswell..

I'd be pretty amazed if a 17cm TL spinipes layed eggs. But it might possibly be able to occasionally happen. Mine was around 30cm TL.

The female i had on her own for the last four years has dropped eggs year round after about 12 months of age. Now that i have the male and they were mating 2 weeks ago hopefully i will have beautiful bubs to fuss over soon, instead of unfertilised eggs.
