Hi everyone

My name is Brendan Campbell and in the last few weeks I have become one-half owner of Stein Enclosures. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself, but more importantly, explain what has occurred in the last 7-months and our plans moving forward.

I am qualified building constructor with many years’ experience in this field, including working with fibreglass. I decided to buy into the business as I am clearly aware this is a much specialised market for the reptile industry.

The business was sold in July 2012 – unfortunately, the handover was not a smooth one and as a result, there were many customers who had paid for enclosures that we were not informed of. As a result, there have been customers that have unfairly waiting a ridiculous amount of time for their enclosure to be built. As Murphy’s Law would have it, in December 2012 my business partner lost his mobile phone and had to disconnect it, and this just added fuel to the fire, hence all the speculation regarding the future of Stein Enclosures that appeared on this forum. I do not disagree with the statements that were made, because if I had paid $3000 for enclosure that I did not have an update on I would be furious. All I can do for what has happened in the past is to apologise for the inconvenience anyone has encountered and assure you your situation will be rectified.

Now that I am on board, I have made a 100% commitment to our customers. You will no longer have to call a disconnected number. You will not have to send emails that never get responded to. I will ENSURE that all calls (if not answered immediately) will be returned to within 48 hours and I will reply to all emails. My contact details are below.

I would also like to take this opportunity to outline what we are doing to rectify anyone who either 1. Has paid for their enclosure and had no contact or 2. Has received an enclosure and for whatever reason, you are not happy with it. All enclosures are now going through a stringent process of quality control to ensure there are no issues or faults with your enclosure before it leaves us.

We have been working extremely hard over the last 2 weeks and have completed 6 enclosures; for those that have been received, we have received extremely positive feedback on the quality and workmanship of the enclosure. As I mentioned, if it is not 100% in perfect working order, then it will not leave our warehouse.

I do ask that if for any reason you need to contact me, please do so immediately. If I do not answer immediately, please leave a message and I will respond within 48 hours – on most occasions within the day – we are busy building enclosures and due to tool noise sometimes I do not hear the phone.

I am committed to getting Stein Enclosures back onto the market with a dedication to quality, commitment, and most of all great customer service.

If you have any questions or enquiries please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Regards

Good to hear :)
There has been a lot of speculation/bad feeling recently towards you guys, a lot of which stemmed from the large amounts of money paid coupled with the lack of customer service. Hopefully you guys can quickly gain back what the Stein reputation recently lost.
Thanks for the update, and congratulations.

Hey Brendan

Good to see your post on here, and I hope it reassures others you are going to rectify all that has happened.

Just a shame that the handover went badly and that the previous owner didn't pass on the details of other people, just taking their money!

Good that there has finally been an official response from Stein.
However the fact that your business partner lost his mobile phone and had to disconnect it is a really poor excuse given that he could of posted online to let people know what was going on and supply a new number and emailed those directly affected.Blaming Ben for some of the problems is also a bit weak.Wasn't he asked about pending/outstanding orders?

Time will tell but I am guessing that with all the bad publicity it will take a fair amount of time to get trust back with people in the market for enclosures.
