Thought I would start a thread as to what wild herps inhabit your back yard.......I went for a walk last night and got some pics of a nice Brown Tree Snake (on another thread). Going out again tonight to see what comes up. So to those who have nothing better to do tonight go for a walk in your back yard and post what you find!!!

how big is your backyard? mine struggles to fit my dogs in it.

I got 2 1/2 acres. I can hear croaking now and a storm is building so I will go out after it rains and see whats about!

I've found in our yard Eastern Water Dragons, Eastern Bearded Dragons, Lace Monitors, Eastern Long-necked Turtles, Hunter River Turtles, Robust Striped Skinks, Golden Water Skinks, Southern Rainbow Skinks, Eastern Brown Snakes, Red Bellied Black Snakes, Yellow Faced Whip Snakes, Stoney Creek Frogs, Broad Palmed Frogs, Eastern Dwarf Tree Frogs, Peron's Tree Frogs, Striped Marsh Frogs, Spotted Marsh Frogs, Ornate Burrowing Frogs, Eastern Common Froglets, I don't doubt there are many more than this, if I was more active at home I would find more but prefer to herp other areas!!

i get Morethia adelaidensis
Hemirgis decresiensis
Blue-tongues
and i also found a curl snake a few days ago.

Southern Leaf-Tailed Gecko's, Eastern Common Froglets, Blue Tongues, Eastern Water Dragons, Green Tree Snakes, Eastern Browns, Red Belly Blacks, Golden Crown Snakes (Never seen a damn python for god sake!), Barred-Sided Skink(Or something very similar).

OMG....Pics??
I've posted them all before on various other threads I've started, not one to double post ;)

I find most along the creek which is surrounded by pastures only other species I've found in the 1000 acres of bush was the Robust Striped Skink and Yellow-faced Whip Snake if memory serves me correct, I've heard we have carpets and gts up the bush but have not found any as of yet, I would say we may also be host to a few gecko species which I plan on searching for this season!
