Hey guys

Just hoping you guys can help me, i got a trio of thick tailed gecko a bit over a month ago and they seemed to have settled in great.

But i have noticed one of them the last couple nights laying flat out legs spread on the sand at the slightly warmer end of the enclosure.

They arent on any direct heat just what would be from the rack below and has been 23-24 at one side and around 20 the other end. they seem to be eating fine and look healthy.

These are my first geckos so im not sure and its not the right time for gravid is it?

Any ideas would be a great help

Thanks
Nadzzz

Thermoregulation, it is warming itself up. You will see it heaps especially as it gets colder and again as it starts to warm up

Thank you, just wanted to make sure it was a normal thing for them.

I have baxter on a little heatpad cos it gets very cold in our house at night.bloody SA winters.can't wait for my new house.i give him a misting with room temp water every couple of days which keeps it a little humid for him.
