I took possestion of the glass for the front of my new cages and one piece is a bees nipple* too tall so I need to trim it. I was thinking of using the angle grinder with the sandpaper head but if any one has a better idea ....

Just use a heavy grade of sand paper with a sanding block, the angle grinder may be abit risky... How big is this bee's nipple? Would love a photo....LOL!

I'd suggest using a dremel. A diamond tipped bit should work well however i've used a tile cutting bit successfully on glass. Just secure it really tight and keep a constant flow of water onto the glass and bit to keep it cool. Also be patient, if you rush it you'll just end up with broken glass. I suggest practising on an old beer bottle or something similar just to get a feel for it.
