saw this wedgetail grab the snake off the road and fly off with him, sorry about the pic quality as he was a fair way away by the time i got the camera out

Ahhh, to bad you didn't have a telephoto.... still, at least you got some pics, always great to see wildlife in action
 
the original pic is a lot better but by the time you downsize you lose quality
 
wow you are lucky to see something like that, I have seen a kookaburra eating a red bellied black snake a few years ago and a tawny frogmouth owl eating a snake (probably a small eyed or a blackish blind snake)
