Hi all,

Just thought I'd post some updated pics of my beardy Zelda. It was out of the last clutch of last season. I think he's coming along nicely, pics don't do him much justice tho.

As you can see (on his feet/legs/tail) he is coming up for a shed, so he does look better in places than pictured. And in the couple of weeks since these photos were taken, he has coloured up even more with a bit of yellow at his ears and different shades of red-orange in other places over his body... Also I have found it hard to get the right lighting etc to show exactly what I'm seeing in person... But i did try!:p

Thanks guys! Appreciate it.:)

looks like hes got a bit of an attitude to him lol

Yeh, he's gone a bit strange like that, started to do it not long ago when I'd take him out in the sunlight or even just out of his enclosure... He sometimes goes a bit mad and bolts off too... kinda funny in a way (obviously not for him tho). I think it will pass tho... Hopefully lol

Zelda looks great :)

As for the attitude shift, he's probably just going through the 'terrible teens'

He's awesome :D I love the stripy beard hehe

My beardie is such a grumpy thing in the mornings, although he is still settling in to his new home. But jeez, he's def not a morning beardie!!

More recent shots of him...Still really angry lil thing! Must have anger management issues like its owner sometimes

i have a female here that could make a great couple with him. shes quite aggressive

Oh wow, he looks great!!! Love his colour, thanks for the updated pics :)

As far as the attitude goes, he definately takes after his daddy!

No worries Ash,

I had him out today, and found that letting him have a swim calmed him down a bit, also let him socialise with two (out of three) of my brothers ones for a bit too.

I will try and take some more recent ones in the next few days, try and get him when hes in a better mood, to show the yellow on his beard. He was almost a year old in those shots, but now he is over a year old (DOB 22.2.08 - incase you forgot which clutch he came from LOL!)

Hehe, he is bigger than my brothers ones, and they are all older than his by a few months! But then again, we had a look today, and his 2 are females (his other smaller one of the same clutch is a runt, and we think its a boy going off the similar "terrible-teens" stage that mine is going through  and hes not exactly big enough to compare with the rest) and mine is a boy :p

Hahaha! So THATs where he gets his attitude from then! I was beginning to think Id done something wrong bringing him up  maybe its his girly name LOL! Although to me Zelda is a unisex name as when I was little, I always thought Links name was Zelda, but Zelda is really the princesses name :oops: Oh well, I usually just call him Little Man anyways:p

WOW essay or what!

Some more recent Photos of Zelda...Some are a bit out of focus, but it shows he's calmed down a little, as his beard isn't as black etc as it use to get when I got him out...And its actually still yellow to an extent, well you can actually see the Yellow on his beard in these ones... He actually calms right down now when I get him out for some sun and actually closes his mouth! :p LOL! I really like how the sun catches his eye in the 3rd photo, I think it looks awesome!

thats a really awesome beardie.

do you have any idea how long its going to get and whered u get one with such a nice colour and personality.

im unsure whether to get one as i want one thats 40cm

Cheers guys.

ReptileGuy12: I bought this one off Miss B off this site, great girl to deal with!... I'm sure it will get much bigger yet... He is only 1yr and 2 and a bit months old... He's a Central Bearded Dragon...

He is roughly 14-15cm svl and his tail is roughly 20cm long...(measured with a clear ruler, so not very accurate at all!) so he is about 35cms long in total...No real idea, but I'd say he'd probably get another 10-15 or so cm longer give or take...But I'm no expert. ;) Thats just a VERY rough guess...

If you dont want one to get any bigger than 40cm total length, than I'd go something smaller like a pygmy bearded or something... But they dont get as good of colours... Just the usual greys as far as I'm aware, but then again, I'm no dragon expert... Definately dont get an eastern bearded if you want it smaller... I'm sure they are even bigger, or atleast more robust than centrals...Again, my mind is a little fuzzy on that, so don't quote me on it!
