hey all I just would like too know the best way to heat a mouse up as I have been thawing out 1 at the moment and would like warm it to body temp before offering to my girl .

Just hold them under your armpit till they are at a nice temperature. No plastic bag, just mouse.

Do you really do this Alan ?
I would think it may be a mistake to do this as your armpit would put a large amount of your scent/smell on them ,This may cause the snake to react to you as a food item .
What do others think ?
I Just use hot water in a 9 litre bucket ,works perfectly every time ! :)

No mick, i dont mate. I'll let you go this time mate.... LOL

I use a tub with hot tap water to thaw my stuff.

Candle lit dinner , and soft porn
Mousie will be warming up to you in no time

Latest News just in - New way of warming up frozen mice and rats.........HOT WATER, in a bucket none the less, what a revolution.

I think I may use that next time. I know my dog hates sitting on them in her bed.

.(OK my brain has shut down, I'm off to bed  ).

LOL sherm, that how you Euthanise em? under ya arm? :p

Jaccuzi works fine ! :D

They tell me that it is best not to use the microwave. This is one piece of advice I have taken without having tested it myself ;-)

Stick it in the microwave with a bit of rosemary and cook for 2 seconds and you'll be sweet. 5 seconds they tend to split down the stomach and you see roasted guts. Thank god my mother doesn't know i used her microwave.
Failing that, in a plastic bag and in a bucket of hot water.

Simone

Or you could put them under your pillow over night, just watch out for the mouse fairy. Usually in the shape of hugsta. LOL

Thanks Al, I always wondered why you smelt of rodents....LOL

I find a nice warm crutch does the trick, make sure they are dead though as they can give you a nasty bite.
