My pet crocodile has unfortunately passed away . I am wanting to know how I go about reporting the death and if there is a certain way I have to dispose of it. I know that you have to write it in the records book, but do I also have to send them a letter? I am in victoria, if that makes any difference.

whenever something under a licence dies i just write it in the record book and they find out when i do my return of wildlife thing, or whatever it is, the one that gets sent at the end of march

make sure you record it in your bookwork for the returns, the croc can be stuffed and mounted if you wish or taken to Melbourne Zoo and given to the vet department to assist in training new reptile vets in Victoria.

Make sure you contact the melbourne zoo vet department first and clear it with them, this can also be done for all reptiles!
