Ive just discovered that these beautiful skinks dont require a licence to keep them in Victoria. Im surprised they are more common in captivity. Does anybody know anyone who keeps them?

They are on the exempt list in SA too, I've been keeping them for quite afew years, very easy to keep, the only this is they can be highly aggressive towards one and other and even compatible groups of similar sized animals need much more space than one would think.

Not all, gidgees and cunninghams are totally placid in family groups or pairs, they get along really well. I havnt kept any other liopholis species to compare to whitii.

Rory, have you had any experience with any of the desert Liopholis species?

Just striata. Spare males get molested and have to be removed.

You are right about gidgees , they get along. But cunninghams unless related and grown up together , are down right nasty. Still nothing beats Kings for brutality. Ever tried to re-introduce a family member to a group? Its like an episode of The Walking Dead, body parts get torn off everywhere.

Lol, nah white's aren't that bad, mainly take each others tails off every now and then, even breeding pairs, it's very strange, they get along fine for ages and then all of a sudden one just freaks out and smashes the other one, the tails regrow super fast though. It happens less often the more space they are given, need way more space than gidgees even though they are like one quarter the size.

Does anybody know of Victorian breeders of small skink species. Looking at setting up a few exoterras.
