Who am i?

Can anyone help to identify this guy i snapped whilst visiting the inlaws over christmas.
There is a family of these guys living in a retaining wall, There was a decent sized (presumably) male approx 16" much darker with no spots and also vey camera shy.
Apparently they have been around for years according to mum who see's them basking most mornings and running across the lawn.

Looks like a king skink to me... I have two of them and they are also camera shy, they (king skink) can grow to 60cm apparently...

As it lives in a family situation i would say it is an Egernia species, possibly Egernia cunninghami but a morph I am not familar with. A better shot of its tail would be appreciated
