Hi. I no longer have any captive snakes (I used to have a children's python and a couple of whip-snakes), but we have several living on our property. The main ones we see are carpet pythons, who are often by the back door, in the courtyard or in our carport: we tell them to please eat rats and mice, not chickens (which also visit the carport), and they do mostly stick to that. Occasionally we see green or brown tree snakes, once had a bandy bandy in the outdoor toilet, and have once found a blind snake (which bandy-bandies eat) when gardening. Also the occasional yellow-faced whip snake or small-eyed snake and (fortunately very occasionally) brown snake. We used to see red-bellied black snake quite often until the cane toads reached us. Photo shows python near back door.
