Takes place overnight in Cape Town, and a live broadcast on SBS at;
- 3.45am AEDST
- 2.45am Qld

FIFA have decided that (unlike last time) they they are working on seed teams, and then other teams avoiding regional foes.

These are the pots;

Pots for Friday's draw: eight groups of four countries to be drawn, each group containing one country from each pot.
Pot 1 (seeds): South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England
Pot 2 (Asia, Oceania and North/Central America): Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Mexico, Honduras
Pot 3 (Africa and South America): Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay
Pot 4 (Europe): France, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Serbia, Denmark, Slovakia

So, ideally it'd be South Africa, Australia, Algeria and Switzerland.

Worst would be Spain, Australia, Ivory Coast and Portugal/France/Greece.

To my mind anyway...

is sth africa about 9hrs behind us?.....does that mean more sleepless nights?? ....im putting my money on spain and france but go the socceroos

Unfortunately so mate.
Most games will be played from 12pm (SA time), so it won't be as bad as say Germany, but worse than the luxury we had in Japan/Sth Korea :D
