What do people prefer, ceramic light fittings or normal plastic ones.
Ive only ever used ceramic, however I know of people using the normal ones. I always thought b/c of the temps, you would have to use ceramic.
I'm currently trying different types of globes and wattages to get the temps right in my new enclosures. 75w infared too hot, and not heatting cool end before lights go out. 60W normal globe good gradients but not hot enough. currently waiting on blue 60W party globes to come in with ES. Its been a total pain in the **** to try and get the right globes with right wattages and ES to fit my ceramic fittings.
If I had the normal light sockets (bayonet) it would be so much easier.
Your thoughts
Also, If anyone knows where to get the red/blue party globes in 60 or 75W ES, please let me know.
Cheers
